Patents Manual of Practice and Procedure (PMPP) Evaluation - survey for IP Professionals
Overview
IP Australia is evaluating our Patent Manual of Practice and Procedure (PMPP) and we are looking to understand how you use the Manual, how useful it is, and how it could be improved.
The aim of the evaluation is to develop a framework of principles to develop the PMPP into a reference document that:
- Has improved accuracy and consistency of content that will improve the users’ experience and ability to find relevant information.
- Provides principles for effective examination and provides guidance on practices and procedures that achieve consistency of practice across examination sections.
- Has examination practice, procedures and other legal information formatted and separated in a manner that facilitates their access when they are required.
An implementation plan to migrate to a future state PMPP will be developed based on the recommendations of the evaluation report.
The present evaluation will not review current examination practices and procedures. This will continue to be carried out in the usual on-going manner.
To help us, we invite you to participate in a short survey. There are 10 questions and it should take about 10 – 15 minutes to complete. At the end, you will have the opportunity to provide any other information not covered by the survey.
This survey will be open until 27 November.
Please note that all responses will be anonymous. We will not be collecting any personal information from respondents.
