IP Australia uses social media to provide us with a fast, convenient and direct communication channel. You will be able to share, comment and discuss our services, programs and policies with your social media networks.

This provides you with a valuable tool to engage with policy and program areas in the agency. We encourage you to participate and contribute.

Acceptable use

The following behaviour will not be tolerated and we will remove offending content and block the contributor:

• comments which are defamatory, offensive, obscene, vulgar or depicting violence
• acting in a manner which is abusive, harassing, stalking, threatening or attacking others
• language that is hateful, targets race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender, nationality and/or political beliefs
• spamming
• commercial solicitation or solicitation of donations
• trolling or deliberately disrupting discussion
• violations of any intellectual property rights, or
• content encouraging illegal activity

Your use of any social media platform is subject to the terms and conditions of that site. These terms are conditions are not under the control of IP Australia.
